Research Data Management - Managing research data efficiently from planning to publication

This course will introduce you to the fundamentals of Research Data Management (RDM), and how it is implemented in different faculties of Graz University. The course highlights challenges and solutions in the humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences thereby providing a skillset useful for researchers of all domains.
It offers an insight into the most helpful tools, strategies, and best practices for RDM. While the course explores discipline-specific RDM practices, it will provide you with the basic rules that govern RDM in general.
You will be introduced to different concepts of data and how to best deal with it in, for example, regard to publishing it in repositories and providing adequate licences. You will learn to work with RDM tools like eLabFTW (laboratory notebook), and get insights into best practice workflows. You will also learn how to develop effective Data Management Plans tailored to your own research needs.
