Not part of any curriculum

Academic careers are not based on excellent research alone. Successful researchers also understand the (social) rules of academia and know how to navigate them effectively.

However, these rules are rarely part of any formal curriculum. They are considered to be the secrets of academia. 

Target audience: Ph.D. students of all faculties

Contents

• Identifying and analysing the implicit rules of academia     
• Developing the skills needed to apply this knowledge productively — both for successful research activities and for building sustainable academic career strategies
