Contents & aims:
This webinar focuses on how to design student-centered Moodle courses that are easy to navigate and invite students to actively participate. We will look at how well-structured course pages and carefully chosen activities can support learning, communication, and collaboration throughout the semester.
In a practical demonstration using a sample course, we will discuss design decisions, show concrete layout options, and explore Moodle activities that promote student engagement. We will also share some last-minute tips and small "hacks" that can help you prepare or revise your course before the new semester starts.
By the end of this webinar, you will:
- have an overview of principles for effective course design in Moodle (structure, navigation, clarity)
- be able to identify elements in your own course that you can simplify or reorganize to make them more learner-friendly
- know which interactive Moodle activities (e.g., forums and other collaborative activities) can be used to foster engagement, communication, and collaboration
- have ideas on how to support assessment and feedback in a way that is transparent and manageable for you and your students

Target group: The target audience includes (university) instructors and anyone else interested in designing engaging Moodle courses.
