Specific key figures are used in practice for strategic planning, budgeting and controlling, which are presented and discussed. The quality management system of the University of Graz is also presented. Using examples and case studies from the University of Graz as well as Austrian and international comparisons, instruments, methods and processes will be discussed, including the question of how coordination processes can be organised between university management, faculties and institutes.
After completing the seminar, participants should have a basic understanding of the strategy development and budgeting process and be familiar with success factors for the management of organisations in the university sector.
